Commission FAQ

Hi there!

I am so honoured that you would like to have a custom piece made by me!
Custom pieces are one of my favourite things to make, they tend to bring in fresh perspectives and honestly having a bit of structure and direction is so refreshing!

Before I can get started on a custom piece of jewellery, i would ask for some information about what it is you are after

-Gold tone(s) 
-Stone or tone preferences
-Attachment, charm or ring etc
-Placement ideas
-Sizing limitations (max size, min etc)
-What draws you to my pieces
-Must see textures/accents/finishes
-Any reference photos you'd like to send of pieces you've seen and your current set up etc

Once i have this information i'll be able to see what stones i currently have that could work, or source some new ones just for you and then start figuring out a pricing estimate. 

Typically i don't do much in the way of sketching out a design as i find my best work comes from being able to take the information you give and just kind of "ready, steady, cook!" my way through it. This gives me the freedom to really play and make something new and interesting with each step of the design shaping the next. 

If the pricing estimate and well as being able to trust the process sound good to you, i would just require a 50% prepayment to secure your order and get started!
The remaining balance would be payable upon the commission completion and any final adjustments made for it to be juuuuuust right!
If i already have the stones to hand, the average turn around times are around 3-4 weeks. If the stones are being ordered in it may take a smidge longer.
